My future path as an actor.

I feel that my future path as an actor is going to be something in teaching others about it or broadway. I have recently seen "The Heaters" musical play at some Theatre and ever since I have been inspired to perform on broadway. It was just that good! These kind of things as well as movies really inspire and all of that inspiration just pushes me more and more towards my goal.

I am also a part of a program called Urban Arts Partnership. I have to say this program has been so amazing for me I just love it. I always leave out of there with a smile on my face because of all the acting we do and such. And it's not just a place to do Theatre but a place to produce music and write poetry and playwriting! This place is all about the concept of art and creation.

Downtown Arts Academy is a company I was a part of that was very fun to do. We performed "The Looking Glass" play in the space we had and it was incredible. I was so happy to be a part of that company! And the leader of the company Ryan is a great cook. I hope someday I will be able to go back there and work with her again.

Why Johnny Depp inspires me.

Johnny Depp has to be one of my biggest inspirations to become an actor. His movies had lured me in so much that I am now wishing I can perform a movie someday. The way he changes his character! Willa Wonka to Alice in Wonderland and some of his older movies like The Man Who Cried and The Astronaut's Wife. I could name a whole set of movies he did!

I know some things about Johnny Depp. Not entirely but definitely a portion. I know he never originally wanted to be famous. In on of his quotes you can find online he talks about how you should never aim to be famous. Just do what you do. He does not like to be labeled and he does not see himself as a serious actor at all.

These are some quotes from Johnny Depp that really touch me.
-With any part you play, there is a certain amount of yourself in it. There has to be, otherwise it's just not acting. It's lying.
-There is nothing on earth that could ever make me want to relive certain years of my life when I was young.
-You do the work and you want people to see it; but, um while I'm doing the work, the result doesn't matter at all to me. Ultimately, I don't, I don't care whether the film is - you know - some big giant box-office bonanza and I don't care if its a complete flop. To me, when a film gets made and it's actually finished it's a success. They're all a success in their own way.

My ideal acting role.

For some strange reason my acting role was to always play as a guy character. I guess it's because I play video games a lot and often play as a guy character like GTA, or Resident Evil and some others like that. I gotten really familiar with the character and always wanted to be cast for a role like that. I also love playing roles where I am yelling or debating against someone. And of course the silly characters. But, my ideal role I would say would be a guy character. I always wanted to act as one.

Usually at home I act like several different characters. I really do it for fun. I know how to act like most of my family members because I've studied them so much. When it comes to acting and Theatre, I like to observe and study the character I am playing before presenting it. I want to make sure I know my character.

I think with any role you play you must study that character in order to step into it. Imagine being a quiet person then having to be assigned the role of a bitchy character with no respect? Takes time to get into it.

What do I like about acting?

Theatre is performing. Which connects to speaking in crowds or speeches. Even talking in class when the teacher calls on you. Theatre helps you on that department because in Theatre you are constantly performing what you created. The scenes. The characters. The everything. I like acting because is helps me to become stronger.

There are numerous things I like about acting. It's mainly the feeling I get just before I perform something on stage or in front of a camera of some sort. The butterflies come and go each and every time and for some strange reason it feels slightly good. I have been participating in acting activities and such since freshmen year of high school and I have to tell you it helps build confidence. That is why I love doing it. It helps me to speak up to people and also to feel better about myself and what I am capable of doing.

Acting isn't just getting on stage and following a script all day. You have to emotionally and psychically involve yourself in it. Within it. If you can not "feel" your character then it's not true acting. There are many actors on TV who show very little acting skills. Often never changing the expression on their face or just plain slacking. The way they got famous I do not know but acting should most definitely not be something you do to just get famous for. You have to feel it. Don't slack. Get serious. Get real.
